Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C1GALT1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C1GALT1 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher C1GALT1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C1GALT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and BLCA are the cancer types where C1GALT1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
