Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C19orf53 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C19orf53 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher C19orf53 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C19orf53 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM, COAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where C19orf53 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
