Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C18orf21 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C18orf21 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher C18orf21 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C18orf21 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD, LUSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where C18orf21 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
