Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C17orf97 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C17orf97 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher C17orf97 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C17orf97 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LUSC, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where C17orf97 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
