Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C17orf78 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C17orf78 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher C17orf78 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C17orf78 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and PRAD are the cancer types where C17orf78 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
