Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C16orf70 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated C16orf70 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher C16orf70 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C16orf70 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and HNSC are the cancer types where C16orf70 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
