Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, C12orf29 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated C12orf29 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher C12orf29 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated C12orf29 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LGG show a favorable association.

KIRP, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where C12orf29 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
