Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BVES Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BVES data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher BVES Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BVES expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, COAD, and KIRC are the cancer types where BVES Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
