Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BTN3A1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BTN3A1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher BTN3A1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BTN3A1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUAD show a favorable association.
LSCC, HNSC, and PDAC are the cancer types where BTN3A1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
