Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BTG4 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BTG4 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher BTG4 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BTG4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC are the cancer types where BTG4 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
