Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BTF3L4P4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of BTF3L4P4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where BTF3L4P4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types BTF3L4P4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
UCEC, HNSC, and THCA are the cancer types where BTF3L4P4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
