Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BRIP1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of BRIP1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where BRIP1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types BRIP1 is over-expressed in tumor.

BLCA, LUAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where BRIP1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
