Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BOLA1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BOLA1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher BOLA1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BOLA1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where BOLA1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
