Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BNIP2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BNIP2 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher BNIP2 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BNIP2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD, COAD, and LUAD are the cancer types where BNIP2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
