Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BMP7 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BMP7 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher BMP7 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BMP7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
LIHC, UCEC, and KICH are the cancer types where BMP7 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
