Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BMI1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated BMI1 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher BMI1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BMI1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LUSC show a favorable association.

LIHC, ACC, and KIRC are the cancer types where BMI1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
