Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BMF Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BMF data layer compared with 18 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher BMF Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BMF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD and HNSC are the cancer types where BMF Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
