Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BLOC1S1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated BLOC1S1 data layer compared with 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher BLOC1S1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BLOC1S1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV and MESO show a favorable association.
UVM, LAML, and OV are the cancer types where BLOC1S1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
