Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BID Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BID data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher BID Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BID expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
COAD, ESCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where BID Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
