Across TCGA patient cohorts, BHMT mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,250 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible BHMT-associated genes across cancer lineages are RNA5SP262, TTTY2B, and CCL18. Each is linked with BHMT in more than 2 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both BHMT-to-partner and partner-to-BHMT results are reported.
