Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BHLHE40 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated BHLHE40 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher BHLHE40 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BHLHE40 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and UCS show a favorable association.

BRCA, PAAD, and LGG are the cancer types where BHLHE40 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
