Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BEX5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BEX5 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher BEX5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BEX5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC and HNSC are the cancer types where BEX5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
