Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BCS1L mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BCS1L data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher BCS1L mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BCS1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and LSCC show a favorable association.

HNSC, GBM, and LSCC are the cancer types where BCS1L mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
