Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BCORL1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 25 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated BCORL1 data layer compared with 13 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher BCORL1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BCORL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SCLC show a favorable association.
BLCA, KIRC, and LIHC are the cancer types where BCORL1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
