Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, BARX2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated BARX2 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher BARX2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated BARX2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where BARX2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
