Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, B3GALT5-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated B3GALT5-AS1 data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher B3GALT5-AS1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated B3GALT5-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and BRCA show a favorable association.

HNSC, LGG, and BRCA are the cancer types where B3GALT5-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
