Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, B3GALT1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated B3GALT1 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher B3GALT1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated B3GALT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC, DLBC, and COAD are the cancer types where B3GALT1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
