Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AWAT2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated AWAT2 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher AWAT2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AWAT2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and TGCT show a favorable association.

KICH, KIRC, and BRCA are the cancer types where AWAT2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
