Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AURKB Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AURKB data layer compared with 32 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher AURKB Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AURKB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where AURKB Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
