Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AURKA mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AURKA data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher AURKA mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AURKA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC and PDAC are the cancer types where AURKA mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
