Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATXN7L2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ATXN7L2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher ATXN7L2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATXN7L2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, HNSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where ATXN7L2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
