Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATXN1L RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ATXN1L data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher ATXN1L RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATXN1L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and SCLC show a favorable association.

KIRC, BLCA, and SCLC are the cancer types where ATXN1L RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
