Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP6V0D1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATP6V0D1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where ATP6V0D1 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATP6V0D1 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, LIHC, and THCA are the cancer types where ATP6V0D1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
