Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5PD RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATP5PD’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where ATP5PD RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATP5PD is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, LUAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where ATP5PD tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
