Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5PBP7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATP5PBP7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where ATP5PBP7 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATP5PBP7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as ESCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, BRCA, and ESCA are the cancer types where ATP5PBP7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
