Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5PB mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ATP5PB data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher ATP5PB mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATP5PB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC show a favorable association.
CCRCC, LUAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where ATP5PB mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
