Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5MFP1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATP5MFP1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where ATP5MFP1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATP5MFP1 is over-expressed in tumor.
BLCA, LUSC, and BRCA are the cancer types where ATP5MFP1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
