Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP5F1AP2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ATP5F1AP2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where ATP5F1AP2 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ATP5F1AP2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, COAD, and KIRP are the cancer types where ATP5F1AP2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
