Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ATP1A2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ATP1A2 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher ATP1A2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ATP1A2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and HNSC show a favorable association.
LSCC, GBM, and HNSC are the cancer types where ATP1A2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
