Across TCGA patient cohorts, ATG4A protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 7,742 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible ATG4A-associated genes across cancer lineages are CXCL1, ZNF853, and DNM1. Each is linked with ATG4A in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both ATG4A-to-partner and partner-to-ATG4A results are reported.
