Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ASS1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ASS1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher ASS1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ASS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

ESCA, LUSC, and LGG are the cancer types where ASS1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
