Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ASL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ASL data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher ASL Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ASL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
COAD, LIHC, and MESO are the cancer types where ASL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
