Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ASIC5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ASIC5 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher ASIC5 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ASIC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BLCA show a favorable association.
UCEC, SKCM, and BLCA are the cancer types where ASIC5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
