Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ASF1B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ASF1B data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher ASF1B mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ASF1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and PDAC show a favorable association.

LSCC, PDAC, and LUAD are the cancer types where ASF1B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
