Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ARTN mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ARTN data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher ARTN mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ARTN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and GBM show a favorable association.
UCEC, COAD, and GBM are the cancer types where ARTN mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
