Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, AQP9 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated AQP9 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher AQP9 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated AQP9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
LUSC, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where AQP9 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
