Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, APOOL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated APOOL data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher APOOL Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated APOOL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
STAD, ESCA, and ACC are the cancer types where APOOL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
