APOL1

mutation — cross-omics
Cross-omicsMUTATION → RNAPatientPairwise association · TCGA cohorts

Across TCGA patient cohorts, APOL1 mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 1,585 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible APOL1-associated genes across cancer lineages are MCAT, FAM118A, and TRMU. Each is linked with APOL1 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both APOL1-to-partner and partner-to-APOL1 results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The box plot shows the strongest example, MCAT grouped by APOL1-low versus APOL1-high in SKCM.

mutation associated genes by consensus

Ranked by combined sampling and lineage consensus. X-score (APOL1→partner) and Y-score (partner→APOL1) are standardized regression coefficients; both directions are reported because the association is undirected. p-values are from the association test.
