Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, APOC3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated APOC3 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher APOC3 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated APOC3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC and KIRP show a favorable association.
STAD, UVM, and ACC are the cancer types where APOC3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
