Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, APOC3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated APOC3 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher APOC3 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated APOC3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where APOC3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
